About

Leave the Noise to Find Quiet

I am a fortunate Boomer. Having lived in 7 decades, 2 centuries and 2 millennia, listened to the best music, learned to sketch by hand, and developed analog films in darkrooms. Everything I know comes from Italy and Asia. Everything I love can be traced to Hungary and the USA.

Our generation witnessed history: from Wars and Woodstock, to the Fall of the Berlin Wall. We hoped for Global Peace and Prosperity. Instead, we got Globalization. Social awareness and the environment have been part of my creative thinking and I strive to make a difference. However, technology moved faster and Reality has been replaced by the Virtual.

The Noise became unbearable. It was time to decompress and disengage. I've not lost interest in Humanity but the focus is on Time, Nature and the pre-human periods on our fragile planet. I find inspiration in remote areas where peace is at home. Part of the year the rural land of Ruth, Nevada gives me shelter to study the Earth in the abandoned gold mines. In the winter months, I record the magic of the rainforests in mountain villages near Bangkok, Thailand.

Finding quiet spots is easy, real tranquility has to be formed within, with the daily practice of meditating, choosing walks, working-out, eating healthy, talking less, working hard, and building a Legacy. Work is a life for many, but creative work makes life magical for everyone.
